City and County Survey reports

The Healthy and Positive Ageing Initiative (HaPAI) carried out a survey of more than 10,500 people aged 55 and older in collaboration with the Age Friendly Cities and Counties programme in Ireland. The survey was carried out using a multistage random-route sampling strategy to obtain a sample of 500 participants who are representative of the national older population in each participating local authority area. The survey was jointly funded by the partners of the HaPAI – the Department of Health, the Health Service Executive, the Atlantic Philanthropies and the 20 participating local authorities. The findings from each local authority area have been published in individual infographic reports (the findings from Galway City and County surveys have been presented in one joint report) and are available for download below.
